The Historic Silver Mine is located in Tarnowskie Góry, near main roads 11 and 78. Tarnowskie Góry is situated in the vicinity of highways A1 and A4, with the largest cities of the Silesian Metropolis located nearby: Katowice (25 km), Gliwice (20 km), Bytom (10 km).
Tarnowskie Góry is one of the most interesting towns in the Silesian Region, located in the southern part of Poland. It is well-communicated thanks to the Katowice Airport in Pyrzowice and the junction of highways A1 and A4 nearby. The region’s capital city, Katowice, is only 25 km away. Also the distance to Kraków is quite insignificant. This historic city of Polish kings, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, is about 100 km away from here.
As an additional treat, we propose you a tour by the world’s oldest narrow gauge railway. The train runs between Bytom and Miasteczko Śląskie. It stops near the Historic Silver Mine on its way. The attraction, part of the Industrial Monuments Route, is available the whole year through.
